The NCC PI Staff in an educational institute is responsible for conducting military-based training, maintaining discipline among NCC cadets, and supporting the overall functioning of the NCC unit within the institution. The role focuses on leadership development, character building, and preparing cadets for camps, certificate examinations, and defense career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular parade and drill sessions.
• Provide basic military training including:
• Weapon training (as authorized)
• Map reading and field craft
• Physical training (PT)
• Prepare cadets for NCC Certificate Examinations (A, B & C).
• Train and shortlist cadets for camps (ATC, CATC, RDC, TSC, etc.).
• Ensure proper turnout and uniform maintenance.
• Maintain discipline during training, parades, and institutional events.
• Supervise cadets during camps, social service, and adventure activities.
• Maintain attendance and training records of cadets.
• Assist in documentation related to NCC activities and reporting.
• Ensure proper custody and maintenance of NCC stores and equipment.
• Coordinate NCC activities with the institution's academic calendar.
• Assist in organizing institutional functions involving NCC cadets.
• Liaise with NCC Battalion/Group Headquarters for schedules and instructions.
• Motivate cadets to join the Armed Forces and other uniformed services.
• Guide cadets on SSB preparation and defense career opportunities.
• Encourage participation in community service and nation-building activities.
