Seeking a CA / Semi-qualified CA with strong GST expertise to manage end-to-end indirect tax compliance, including invoicing, filings, refunds, and litigation support, while partnering with stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence.

How you create impact

  • Indirect Tax Compliance & Operations
    • Support the indirect tax team in ensuring accurate, complete, and timely execution of GST compliance activities.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive seamless tax processes across the business.

  • Outward Supplies:
    • Monitor the local tax invoicing module to ensure smooth e-invoicing and perform monthly reconciliation with financial systems.
    • Review invoices raised by business units to ensure accuracy and correct reporting on the GST portal.
    • Coordinate with SEZ customers to obtain necessary endorsements for GST refund filings.
    • Support business units in generating GST-related documentation as required.

  • Inward Supplies
    • Track and resolve unmatched GST input tax credits, including follow-ups and query resolution.
    • Advise business stakeholders on eligibility/ineligibility of input tax credit on vendor invoices.

  • GST Compliance & Reporting
    • Extract and prepare base data required for GST return filings.
    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns using tax technology tools.
    • Support preparation and submission of annual GST returns.
    • Apply strong working knowledge of GST provisions (Inter/Intra-state supply, ITC eligibility, RCM, Place of Supply, etc.).

  • GST Litigation & Audits
    • Assist in GST audits, investigations, and handling of tax notices.
    • Draft responses, coordinate with consultants, and support representation before tax authorities where required.

  • Process Improvement & Advisory
    • Support preparation and filing of GST refund applications.
    • Contribute to tax automation and system enhancement projects in collaboration with finance systems teams.
    • Stay updated on changes in GST regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Provide day-to-day tax advisory support to business stakeholders.
    • Manage GST registrations, ensuring timely updates of company information in coordination with internal teams.

What we would like you to bring

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-qualified CA, specializing in Indirect Tax.
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years post-qualification experience in GST (for qualified CA), OR
    • 5-6 years of relevant GST experience (for semi-qualified CA), preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Strong expertise in GST compliance, refunds, and litigation across industries.
  • In-depth understanding of GST regulations and frameworks.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with experience working on ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in the Indirect Tax domain.
