Role And Responsibilities
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for planning and executing business development activities on a Pan-India basis. They will work closely with the sales team, Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Dealers, Distributors, Channel Partners, and Fabricators. The main responsibilities include:
- Aggressively closing sales and demonstrating strong client negotiation skills
- Handling existing customer networks while developing a new customer base
- Providing support to the sales team in lead generation and follow-ups until conversion
- Offering support to existing distributors and developing sub-channel sales across India
- Achieving the overall organization's sales targets on a monthly and accumulated basis
- Planning, organizing, leading, and conducting customer training seminars
- Providing market inputs on competitor's activities
- Liaising with the marketing and operations team of channel/project partners
- Monitoring overdue payments and addressing outstanding issues
- Sending MIS reports of sales team activities and achievements
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the National Sales Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience
- Base location in Chennai with Pan-India work travel
- Excellent communication skills in English, Tamil, and Hindi (mandatory)
