National Head Vehicle Loan (VL) & Home Loan

Designation: National Head VL & Home Loan

Business Type: NBFC / Bank

Department: Retail Assets

Reporting To: MD & CEO / Executive Director / Business Head

Location: PAN India / HO

Role Objective

The National Head Vehicle Loan & Home Loan will lead end-to-end business ownership of the Vehicle Loan and Home Loan portfolios, balancing aggressive growth, asset quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role requires building scalable businesses in a high-growth NBFC/Bank/startup environment with strong governance.

Requirements


  • Own national-level P&L, growth targets, and profitability for VL and Home Loan portfolios.
  • Drive rapid yet sustainable disbursement growth aligned with risk appetite.
  • Design go-to-market strategies for digital, branch, DSA, dealer, and builder channels. Product, Credit & Risk Governance
    • Partner with Credit and Risk teams to design and periodically review credit policies, underwriting frameworks, and approval matrices.
    • Ensure portfolio performance within defined risk thresholds (DPD, GNPA, NNPA).
    • Implement early warning mechanisms and corrective actions in line with RBI guidelines. Operations & Process Excellence
      • Oversee end-to-end loan lifecycle: sourcing, credit approval, disbursement, servicing, and closure.
      • Drive process digitization, automation, and scalability suitable for a startup/NBFC ecosystem.
      • Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and SOP adherence.
      • Work closely with Collections leadership to manage delinquencies, recoveries, and legal actions.
      • Monitor vintage-wise performance and stress indicators; take proactive remediation steps. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
        • Ensure strict compliance with RBI, NHB (if applicable), internal audit, and statutory requirements.
        • Support internal, concurrent, and external audits with complete documentation and controls.
        • Build and lead high-performance teams across sales, credit, and operations.
        • Drive productivity, performance management, and leadership development.
        • Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and customer-centricity. Stakeholder & Leadership Management
          • Engage with MD & CEO, Board, investors, and senior leadership on business performance.
          • Present MIS, portfolio analytics, and strategic plans regularly.
          • Manage partnerships with vendors, and external agencies. Key Skills & Competencies
            • Deep expertise in Vehicle Loans and Home Loans within NBFC/Bank environments.
            • Strong understanding of RBI regulations, credit risk, and portfolio analytics.
            • Proven ability to scale businesses in startup or high-growth organizations.
            • Strategic thinking with strong execution and governance mindset.
            • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Educational Qualification
              • Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Management, or related field.
              • MBA / CA / CFA preferred.
              • 1220 years of experience in Retail Assets (VL / Home Loan).
              • Prior experience in NBFC / Bank in a leadership role is mandatory.
              • Demonstrated experience in building or scaling asset portfolios.
