Role Purpose
To lead and drive the national strategy, sales growth, market expansion, and team performance of the Peripheral business portfolio, ensuring strong market presence, revenue achievement, customer engagement, and effective execution across regions.
The role is responsible for building sustainable business growth, strengthening market relationships, guiding the national team, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial objectives for the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement national strategies for growth of the Peripheral business in line with company objectives.
- Identify market opportunities, expansion priorities, and business development plans across regions.
- Drive long-term planning, product positioning, and market penetration initiatives.
2. Sales and Revenue Management
- Achieve national sales targets and revenue objectives for the Peripheral segment.
- Review regional performance regularly and guide teams to improve productivity and business outcomes.
- Monitor sales data, forecasts, pipelines, customer trends, and competitor activity to support effective decision-making.
3. Team Leadership and People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers and sales teams across the country.
- Set clear KPIs, review team performance, and build a high-performance, result-driven culture.
- Support hiring, onboarding, capability building, and retention of talent within the function.
4. Customer and Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key hospitals, institutions, KOLs, business partners, and distributors, where applicable.
- Handle strategic account discussions, high-value negotiations, and major business opportunities.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term business development.
5. Product and Market Development
- Work closely with marketing and relevant teams on product launches, campaigns, and market development initiatives.
- Provide field and market insights for portfolio strengthening and business expansion.
- Support strong product positioning and market acceptance against competitors.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Clinical, Customer Service, HR, and other internal functions for smooth business execution.
- Ensure alignment between market demand, product availability, and customer commitments.
- Support timely resolution of customer issues and business escalations through internal coordination.
7. Compliance, Reporting, and Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and approved business processes.
- Maintain discipline in pricing, forecasting, budgeting, receivables, and expense management.
- Prepare and present regular business reviews and management reports with clear action plans.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Science, Biomedical, Pharmacy, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. MBA or equivalent management qualification will be preferred.
Experience Required
12 to 18+ years of relevant experience in medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industries, with strong exposure to sales leadership, business development, and team management. Prior experience in the Peripheral / Vascular / Interventional segment will be preferred.
