Job Title: MYP/IGCSE Individuals & Societies Teacher
Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Individuals & Societies Teacher to join our secondary school faculty. The successful candidate will teach Humanities-related subjects within the IB MYP and Cambridge IGCSE frameworks, fostering critical thinking, inquiry, and global awareness among students.
The teacher will inspire students to explore human behavior, societies, cultures, history, geography, economics, and contemporary global issues while developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become responsible global citizens.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in Individuals & Societies subjects, including History, Geography, Economics, Global Perspectives, and related Humanities disciplines.
- Implement inquiry-based, concept-driven, and interdisciplinary learning experiences aligned with the IB MYP philosophy.
- Develop and implement unit plans aligned with MYP objectives, concepts, contexts, and assessment criteria.
- Contribute to curriculum review, development, and vertical alignment across grade levels.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to co-curricular activities, educational trips, Model United Nations (MUN), debates, service-learning projects, and other student enrichment programmes.
Qualifications And Experience (Essential)
- Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within the IB framework/IGCSE, preferably MYP.
- Strong understanding of MYP Individual & Societies curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge across Humanities disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
