Job description: Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) Engineer
Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore
About The Gig
The Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) Engineer will support rigid-body and flexible-body simulations of two-wheeler vehicle systems to evaluate dynamic performance, load paths, and kinematic behavior. The role involves building and running MBD models, supporting correlation with physical test data, and collaborating with CAE, Design, and Vehicle Dynamics teams to improve product performance and simulation accuracy.
What You'll Do
- Support rigid-body and flexible-body MBD analysis of vehicle subsystems and full vehicle models.
- Build, modify, and execute MBD models.
- Performn load extraction and interpretation of forces acting on chassis, swing arm, wheels, and suspension components.
- Support vehicle kinematic and compliance (K&C) evaluations against targets.
- Conduct suspension hardpoint studies and basic optimization activities.
- Perform pre-processing activities including geometry cleanup, meshing, connections, and solver deck preparation.
- Support modeling of springs, rubber dampers, and bushings, and extraction of reaction forces.
- Conduct correlation of simulation results with physical test data.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal reviews.
- Support DOE studies and continuous improvement of MBD workflows.
What You Bring
- B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
- 01 year experience (freshers or interns with relevant academic/project exposure are encouraged). Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of Multi-Body Dynamics and vehicle dynamics.
- Exposure to Altair MotionView /MotionSolve, HyperMesh, Adams, or VI-Grade.
- Fundamental knowledge of two-wheeler suspension and chassis systems.
- Awareness of rubber, spring, and bushing behavior.
- Basic knowledge of DOE concepts.
- Added Advantage
Exposure to two-wheeler (scooter/motorcycle) platforms.
Familiarity with EV systems.
Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
Strong analytical and learning mindset.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
