Roles & Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement core platform capabilities for MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Runtime Fabric, VPCs, load balancing, and hybrid networking
- Design and manage containerized MuleSoft deployments using Kubernetes
- Lead the design of API integrations utilizing AWS-native services such as S3
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft using Docker, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Write platform-level automation and tooling in Python, shell, or similar for provisioning, deployment, and monitoring
- Drive observability, logging, and performance optimization in collaboration with cloud and security teams
- Ensure enforcement of security and compliance standards including OAuth2, TLS, token management, and role-based access control
- Conduct technical design reviews, solution assurance activities, and maintain architecture documentation
- Mentor MuleSoft developers on architecture patterns, DevOps, and reusable platform design
- Support product planning and roadmap development through collaboration with stakeholders
- Oversee delivery of reusable APIs, templates, connectors, and accelerators for enterprise reuse
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5 to 9 years of experience in integration architecture, platform administration, or API development
Must-Have Functional Skills:
- Strong architectural design and modeling capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of MuleSoft platform administration and configuration
- Experience with AWS services, hybrid cloud environments, and on-prem/cloud integration setups
- Hands-on development with Java, Mule 4, and DataWeave
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Agile methodology experience including working with product teams and DevOps
- Proven experience in integration architecture, system design, and problem-solving
Integration Expertise:
- Ability to design and develop structured, well-documented APIs
- Understanding of integration patterns and protocols (ESB, REST, SOAP)
- Experience in data mapping between applications and systems
- Strong knowledge of API security practices and implementation
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Linux administration and scripting (bash, shell, or Python)
- Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences domain with compliance awareness
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
- Familiarity with regulated data environments
Certifications:
- Mulesoft Integration Architect I or Mulesoft Platform Architect I (required)
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer (preferred)
- Linux administration or DevOps-related certifications (preferred)
