Job Description
The Mulesoft Technical Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform. This role involves leading integration architecture, establishing best practices, defining API led connectivity strategies, and mentoring development teams. The architect works closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross functional technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high performance integration solutions.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Define endtoend integration architecture using APILed Connectivity.
- Create highlevel and lowlevel design documents for integration solutions.
- Design REST/SOAP APIs, RAML specifications, and data models.
- Develop integration patternsorchestration, messaging, ETL, streaming, etc.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and security guidelines.
- Oversee application performance tuning, API governance, and reusable asset design.
- Architect end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Design API-led connectivity solutions, including System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs.
- Develop integration strategies, best practices, and standards for MuleSoft implementations
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and business goals.
- Development & Implementation:
- Lead the development of MuleSoft APIs, integrations, and microservices.
- Configure MuleSoft components, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.
- Implement security policies, throttling, and monitoring for APIs.
- Integration & Deployment:
- Integrate MuleSoft with various systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Manage deployment processes, including CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during development and post-deployment.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize MuleSoft applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct performance testing and tuning of APIs and integrations.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational guides.
- Conduct training sessions for developers and business users on MuleSoft best practices.
- Compliance & Security:
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, SAML).
Qualifications
- Certifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (Required).
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (Preferred).
- Additional certifications in cloud platforms or enterprise architecture are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Designer, and DataWeave.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns (EIP) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SSL/TLS, SAML).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Salesforce integration using MuleSoft.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
