Job Title: Gold MTO Operations Executive
Department: Supply Chain
Location: Head office - PUNE
Job Summary:
The Gold MTO Operations Executive is responsible for managing the made-to-order (MTO) workflow between customers, stores, and vendors. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills to ensure timely delivery of customized jewellery orders. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the jewellery industry, with a deep understanding of product specifications, gold purity standards, design customizations, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with gold vendors for order placement, production timelines, and delivery management.
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to ensure smooth fulfillment of MTO requirements and resolve issues proactively.
Order Management:
- Process customer-specific MTO orders from retail stores and online channels.
- Review order details including customization requests, size, gold purity, weight expectations, and pricing.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of order specifications to vendors.
Store & Customer Communication:
- Coordinate with retail store teams for customer specifications and order updates.
- Handle queries and communicate production status or delivery timelines to store staff and customers.
- Address discrepancies or modification requests with professionalism and attention to detail.
Quality & Compliance:
- Verify product alignment with customer expectations regarding design, hallmarking, and weight.
- Ensure adherence to company processes, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Track orders, maintain MTO logs, and update internal systems with status updates.
- Prepare weekly reports on MTO performance, vendor efficiency, and turnaround times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate with 24 years of experience in the jewellery industry, preferably in operations or procurement.
- Strong understanding of the jewellery production process, gold purity standards, and custom order workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Strong coordination and follow-up ability with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (experience with jewellery-specific software is a plus).
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of 9kt, 14kt and 18kt gold, hallmarking standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with jewellery vendors or manufacturers.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
