Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring & Threat Detection Monitor security alerts and events fromMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
  • Analyze suspicious activities, correlate alerts, and determine the severity and impact of incidents.
  • Perform proactive threat hunting using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 security tools.
  • Incident ResponseInvestigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Perform initial triage, containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
  • Document incident findings and provide recommendations to prevent recurrences.
  • Security OperationsManage and maintainMicrosoft Defender security policies, configurations, and baselines.
  • Work with the SOC team to optimize alert rules, detection logic, and response workflows.
  • Ensure proper integration of Defender tools with SIEM/SOAR platforms (Azure Sentinel preferred).
  • Reporting & DocumentationPrepare detailed incident reports, dashboards, and metrics for management.
  • Maintain SOPs, playbooks, and technical documentation for security processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 5 years of experience in information security or SOC operations.
  • Hands-on experience withMicrosoft Defender Suite:
  • Defender for Endpoint
  • Defender for Identity
  • Defender for Office 365
  • Microsoft Defender XDR
  • Defender for Cloud Apps
