About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced MS D365 Technical Lead with deep expertise in CRM, marketing automation, and data migration. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation and optimization of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys, including large-scale data migrations from Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and enable best-in-class marketing automation practices. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, business understanding, and stakeholder engagement to drive successful execution and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration of 300,000 shopper records from Salesforce Marketing Cloud into Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys.
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, deduplication, validation, and import, ensuring high data quality and integrity throughout the process.
- Configure and optimize out-of-the-box D365 CI features, including:
- Customer segmentation and unified profile creation
- Customer journeys and automated email campaigns
- Language-based email delivery (English/French)
- Template library management with tagging and version control
- Analytics dashboards and KPIs for campaign performance
- Support the scheduling, delivery, and monitoring of mass and targeted email campaigns, ensuring readiness to send up to 1.75M emails annually.
- Conduct workshops and discovery sessions with business teams to gather requirements, map processes, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, configuration guidelines, and user enablement materials for internal teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support to stakeholders on CRM/marketing automation best practices, governance, and campaign performance metrics.
- Identify and recommend Phase-2 improvements, including enhancements to unified customer profiles, approval workflows, and customizable fields.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing and/or Customer Insights (Journeys), with a strong CRM and marketing automation background.
- Proven experience in CRM or marketing automation data migration, preferably from Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Demonstrated expertise in data ingestion frameworks, schema mapping, data quality validation, and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of customer segmentation, subscriber management, campaign orchestration, and marketing automation workflows.
- Ability to work directly with business and marketing stakeholders in a consultative and advisory capacity.
- Familiarity with email deliverability, marketing KPIs, and campaign governance standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
Mandatory Certification
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys Functional Consultant Associate (MB-220)
