MS Cloud Administrator - 7

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of critical applications hosted in Azure. The role involves managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services, VM/OS administration, network security, automation, monitoring, and capacity management.

Key Responsibilities:

High Availability & Reliability

• Ensure high availability and performance of critical applications on Azure.
• Implement failover and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor system health and proactively resolve potential issues.

VM and OS Management

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure VMs and operating systems.
• Perform patching, updates, and OS management for security and performance.

Network Management & Security

• Design and manage virtual networks, subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
• Implement VPNs, network segmentation, and security best practices.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop automation scripts using Terraform and PowerShell for deployment and maintenance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for standardized cloud operations.

Change Management & Ticket Handling

• Manage cloud environment changes using ITIL-aligned processes.
• Resolve tickets within SLA, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Monitoring & Log Analytics

• Configure Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for resource and application monitoring.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports for real-time visibility and anomaly detection.

Capacity Management

• Monitor resource usage and plan for capacity upgrades.
• Analyze trends and optimize resources for cost-efficiency.

IaaS & PaaS Services Management

• Manage Azure IaaS resources including VMs, storage, and networking.
• Oversee Azure PaaS offerings such as App Services, ensuring performance benchmarks are met.

Update & Patch Management

• Implement automated update schedules for cloud resources.
• Minimize downtime and manual intervention through automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years of Azure cloud operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS, VM/OS management, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, PowerShell, and other scripting tools.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of network security and NSG management.
• Experience with change management and ITIL processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and microservices on Azure.
