Staff Augmentation - HSBC - Devops SRE

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Creation & Maintenance:

• Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaaC) in a consistent and repeatable manner
• Configure CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of infrastructure and applications
• Ensure all services comply with internal controls and security standards
• Collaborate with IT system analysts, engineers, and SRE teams to translate requirements into automated capabilities

Core Skills & Platforms:

• AWS Services: Route 53, VPC, S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, RDS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Session Manager
• Jenkins automation and CI/CD pipeline creation
• Linux, Nginx, Squid administration
• Python, Node.js, and Shell scripting for automation

Infrastructure Monitoring:

• Create, maintain, and tune monitoring frameworks to ensure platform health
• Implement automated recovery actions based on monitoring alerts
• Tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, CloudWatch
• ALM Tools: Jira, GitHub, Confluence
• Maintain strong network and security controls, including subnets, firewalls, NACLs, load balancing, clustering, and high availability

Production Support:

• Respond to production incidents and collaborate with IT operations to restore normal service
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed
