MS Azure PaaS & Database Administrator - 2

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a knowledge base for known issues and share knowledge with fellow DBAs.
• Understanding of Relational Database concepts its Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Databases.
• Strong knowledge of OS commands including Unix MS.
• Strong knowledge on scripting (Perl, Shell, Powershell etc.).
• Inform client of any major problems using Incident Management.
• Regular database capacity planning related to Database growth and system utilization restricted to space management, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements.
• Installing, Patching, Cloning and Maintaining different versions of Databases.
• Database and Application User Management.
• General Administration such as user administration, Database refresh, decommission, space utilization, scheduling jobs in Database, maintaining standby Databases.
• Database performance management.
• Gathering statistics, executing performance monitoring scripts, operating system analysis.
• Ensure high Database availability.
• Support, maintain and backup RAC environment.
• Maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Perform Database migration, upgrade and patch installation.
• Responsible for installing managing clusterware with multi nodes.
• Configuring Managing Database Backup utilities Tools.
• Database Recovery.
• Setting up HA/Standby and responsible for managing Escalation and Resolution management.
• Status Reporting.
• Manage team utilization.
• Client relationship management and internal interfacing for project requirements.
• Acts as point of escalation for customer.
• Constant endeavour for cost effectiveness.
