Role Overview:
We are looking for a creative Motion Graphics & Video Editor who lives and breathes storytelling, short-form and long-form content and crisp visual design. You will own the full cycle of video creation across platforms, from raw footage to final exports, including animation, titles, transitions and sound. Job Description:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who is skilled in video editing, motion graphics, and animation to produce engaging long-form and short-form video content. The candidate will work closely with the marketing, content, and design teams to bring stories to life across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit high-quality long-form and short-form videos for social media, ads, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
- Create compelling motion graphics, transitions, titles, and visual effects aligned with brand guidelines.
- Design and animate 2D graphics, typography, and simple character or object animations when required.
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, and product teams to understand briefs and deliver impactful visuals.
- Optimise videos for multiple platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, websites, and paid ads.
- Manage footage, sound design, colour correction, and final rendering for polished outputs.
- Stay updated with latest editing styles, trends, and AI-assisted video tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 23 years of hands-on experience in video editing, motion graphics, and animation.
- Strong proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop (knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or similar tools is a plus).
- Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, typography, colour, and sound design.
- Ability to work on both quick-turnaround short videos and detailed long-format edits.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and time management.
- A solid portfolio/showreel demonstrating editing, motion graphics, and animation work.
What we're looking for:
- 23 years of experience as a Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer / Animator or in a similar role.
- Strong command over Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut + motion tools).
- Solid skills in 2D motion graphics, kinetic typography and basic animation principles.
- Good sense of storytelling, pacing, music selection and sound design.
- Ability to work with UGC, phone footage and mixed-quality clips and still produce polished output.
- Comfortable working with tight timelines, quick feedback loops and multiple concurrent projects.
- A strong portfolio/showreel showcasing reels, motion graphics and ad-style edits (required).
What you'll do:
- Edit short-form and long-form videos (Reels, YouTube, ads, website, brand films) from raw footage to final delivery.
- Design and animate motion graphics: titles, lower thirds, kinetic text, logo animations, overlays and infographics.
- Turn UGC clips, experience footage and photos into high-impact reels with strong hooks and retention.
- Work closely with the marketing and content teams to translate campaign ideas into video storyboards and final edits.
- Create multiple variations of edits for A/B testing on Meta, YouTube and other platforms.
- Maintain brand consistency in fonts, colours, pacing and overall visual language.
- Optimise videos for different platforms (ratios, durations, file sizes, subtitles, thumbnails).
- Manage project files, backups and exports in an organised way so the team can easily reuse and repurpose assets.
Must-Have Skills:
1. Strong Video Editing Fundamentals
Expert in cutting, pacing, sequencing, and storytelling for both short-form and long-form videos. Ability to create high-retention social media edits, ad creatives, and brand films.
2. Motion Graphics & Animation Proficiency
Solid hands-on experience with After Effects for titles, transitions, typography animation, and visual effects. Ability to design and animate clean 2D motion graphics aligned with brand style. Comfortable creating logo animations, lower thirds, kinetic typography, and simple explainer animations.
3. Tool Expertise
Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (non-negotiable). Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop for asset preparation and design support.
4. Visual Storytelling & Design Sense
Good understanding of composition, colour grading, typography, rhythm, and sound design. Ability to maintain consistent brand aesthetics across videos.
5. Platform-First Editing Mindset
Experience optimising videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, ads, and web formats. Knowledge of aspect ratios, export settings, compression, and platform trends.
6. Ownership & Speed
Ability to handle projects end-to-end from raw footage to final render. Comfortable working in fast-paced creative environments with tight timelines.
7. Portfolio / Showreel (Mandatory)
A strong, recent showreel demonstrating editing + motion graphics depth is essential for evaluation.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with brand campaigns, social media content, or digital marketing teams.
- Basic knowledge of 3D animation, AI video tools, or scripting.
- Familiarity with camera handling, lighting, or shoot planning.
