Role Description

This is a full-time remote position at Windmark for a Motion & 3D Designer who brings brand systems to life through purposeful animation and immersive 3D visuals across digital experiences. The role focuses on transforming visual identity and product concepts into dynamic motion and dimensional storytelling that enhances usability, strengthens brand presence, and elevates the overall user experience across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.

You'll collaborate closely with designers, product teams, and engineers to craft scalable, performance-conscious motion and 3D systems that align with brand guidelines and business goals. From micro-interactions to product visualizations and marketing assets, your work will create seamless, modern experiences that feel intuitive, engaging, and visually refined.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and produce high-quality motion graphics and 3D assets including onboarding animations, micro-interactions, feature explainers, product visuals, and marketing content.

- Develop and refine 3D visuals, scenes, and animations that enhance product storytelling and brand presence.

- Ensure all motion and 3D work aligns with Windmark's brand guidelines and visual system.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate motion seamlessly into digital experiences.

- Contribute to the evolution of Windmark's motion and 3D design language, including documentation and scalable systems.

- Optimize and export assets (Lottie, JSON, GIF, MP4, WebM, 3D renders) for performance and smooth engineering handoff.

- Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver on timelines.

- Maintain accessibility standards and ensure cross-platform performance optimization.

- Stay current with motion, 3D, and interactive design trends and proactively suggest improvements.

What You'll Do

- Create engaging motion graphics and 3D animations across web, product, and marketing platforms at Windmark.

- Translate static designs, brand systems, and product concepts into dynamic motion and immersive 3D experiences.

- Build visually compelling product animations, interactive visuals, and marketing assets.

- Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure motion integrates cleanly into live products.

- Develop and maintain a consistent, scalable motion and 3D design system aligned with brand standards.

- Optimize animations and renders for performance, accessibility, and cross-device consistency.

- Balance multiple requests and deliver high-quality work within defined timelines.

- Continuously explore new techniques in motion, 3D, and visual storytelling to enhance user experience.

What We're Looking For

- 24 years of experience in motion design, 3D design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing product, UI, and 3D work.

- Proficiency in After Effects and 3D tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar software.

- Strong understanding of Lottie workflows, animation handoff, and performance considerations.

- Ability to translate brand systems and static designs into polished motion and 3D experiences.

- Experience working with animation formats (Lottie, JSON, GIF, MP4, WebM) and understanding their technical constraints.

- Experience creating high-quality 3D renders, lighting setups, and product-style visualizations.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

- High attention to detail with a focus on quality, performance, and accessibility.

- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- A proactive mindset with curiosity and a drive to refine processes and elevate output quality.

Nice to Have

- Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) for marketing content, product launches, and social campaigns.

- Familiarity with design systems and building scalable motion guidelines.

- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for smoother collaboration with engineers.

- Experience with interactive prototyping and motion workflows.

- Awareness of accessibility standards and performance optimization across platforms.
