Role Overview
We're hiring a Modern Trade Sales Manager with strong FMCG sales experience to drive business growth across modern retail channels. The candidate should have excellent market understanding, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to exploring new markets across India.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
-Manage and expand sales in Modern Trade channels across India
-Identify and tap new markets, retail chains, and distribution opportunities
-Develop strategies to increase product visibility and sales in modern retail outlets
Market Expansion:
-Travel extensively to explore and develop new markets and retail partnerships
-Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer demand
Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, distributors, and channel partners
-Ensure effective coordination with internal teams for smooth order processing and supply
Performance & Reporting:
-Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
-Maintain regular reports on market performance, retailer feedback, and sales growth
Key Requirements:
- 4–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in Modern Trade.
- Strong knowledge of the Indian retail market and modern trade channels.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Positive attitude with a result-oriented approach.
