Job Title: Model Risk Valuation Control Specialist, AVP

Location: Mumbai, India

Role Description

• Valuation Control is a specialist group within Market and Valuations Risk Management (MVRM) that manages a wide range of relevant risk and implementation topics to ensure integrity and control over all aspects of the valuation of the Bank's trading portfolios.
• The MRC function in Valaution Control, consist of Model Risk Control and Product Validation Group.
• Model Risk Control carries out a variety of second line controls, including the implementation of model reserves calculations and bookings, reporting of model usage, parameter and dispersion exceptions on a daily and monthly basis and facilitating remediation among various stakeholders such as business finance, Strats, Trading, Methodology, Model Risk Management and IT.
• The Product Validation Group is responsible for independent validation of appropriateness of Product names assigned to trades, requires validation of the features as described within the Product to the trade booking and tag discrepancies discussed with Trading for resolution.

Your key responsibilities

In MRC Valuation Control, you will be responsible for:

• Analysing the Fair Value trade population of the bank and determining the trades which are subjected to model reserve calculations
• Ensuring that model reserve calculations are conducted inline with approved methodologies
• Regular reporting of model limitation related matrix and representing the MRC team at wider governance forums
• Enabling a strong control framework with the roll out of new model reserve calculations
• Implementing the roll out of new model reserves through the bank's strategic system, Kannon
• Candidate should have good understanding on vanilla & exotic products like Bonds, IR Swaps, Swaption, Inflation Swaps, Inflation Options, CDS, FX Options, Equity Derivatives, Loans etc.
• Developing and maintaining python scripts and other processes to deliver accurate and timely reserve calculations and bookings
• Managing big data analytics to facilitate the design of new model reserve calculations, audit and regulatory inspections
• Working with senior stakeholders including MVRM, MORM, Strats and Trading in London, as well as Singapore and New York
• Knowledge sharing across the MRC team, gaining product and model knowledge as well as technical skills.

Your skills and experience

• Previous experience working with valutions of products, exposure to derivative Models
• Understanding of pricing and valuation of products
• Involvement in other types of independent validations
• Knowledge of front-to-back architecture of Investment Banks
• Programming experience in Python, Git, BitBucket is an advantage
