About The Job
We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer/Architect to lead the architecture and design of our cloud-native telecommunications applications. This senior technical leadership role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and telecommunications technologies. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, establish technical standards, and mentor engineering teams while designing high-performance systems that meet the demanding requirements of modern telecommunications environments.
Roles & Responsibility
- Architecture and design scalable, resilient cloud-native applications specifically for telecommunications use cases
- Define technical vision and roadmap for cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams
- Design high-performance, low-latency applications that meet telecommunications industry SLAs
- Develop reference architectures and reusable patterns for cloud-native telco applications
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads across multiple teams
- Contribute to open-source projects and represent the company at industry events
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for cloud-native environments
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies and approaches
Desired Profile
- Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications using microservices architecture
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong experience with telecommunications systems, protocols, and industry standards
- Expert-level knowledge in at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python, etc.)
- Proven experience designing high-performance, low-latency distributed systems
- Strong understanding of data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, and Kafka
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateway patterns
- Knowledge of CNF, network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN)
- Understanding of 5G architecture, network slicing, and edge computing concepts
- Experience with observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to navigate complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strategic thinker with ability to balance immediate needs with long-term architectural vision
- Collaborative mindset with experience in cross-functional team environments

Work Experience
- 8 to 15Yrs of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Principal engineering/architecture roles
Educational Qualification : BE. / B.Tech., M.E./M.Tech. or M. Sc. in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA
