About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on
Mobile QA Automation Engineer to build, maintain, and enhance test automation coverage for iOS and Android applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and support teams to ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android using Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar tools.
- Develop automated test scripts with JavaScript, Java, or Python to validate mobile app flows and performance.
- Execute automated test cases as part of CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, etc.).
- Perform regression, smoke, and performance testing before releases.
- Track, log, and validate bugs, defects, and performance issues in collaboration with development and support teams.
- Collaborate with product and customer support teams to reproduce real-world issues.
- Create and manage test data, automate repetitive validation tasks, and improve test coverage and reliability.
- Document test cases, results, and known issues for internal knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in mobile automation (iOS + Android).
- Hands-on expertise with Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of mobile testing best practices for customer-facing apps.
- Experience in REST API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud-based test platforms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab).
- Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for backend validation.
- Proven ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments with short release cycles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in early-stage or growth-stage startups.
- Availability to align partially with U.S. Eastern Time Zone working hours.
