Role Overview
The Mobile Application Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and
performance of React Native mobile applications across both Android and iOS platforms
through effective manual and automated testing practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Basic understanding of manual testing concepts including test case creation and bug
- reporting
- Familiarity with Android Studio Emulator and Xcode Simulator
- Experience testing React Native applications, including use of Expo Go
- Comfortable using Postman or similar tools for API testing
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
- Bonus: Exposure to automation tools such as Appium or Detox
Required Programming Skills
- JavaScript for understanding and testing React Native applications
- TypeScript preferred for type-safe testing and debugging
- Java or Kotlin for Android testing and debugging
- Python for test scripting, automation, and API testing
- Basic shell scripting knowledge is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Test React Native mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms
- Perform testing on real devices as well as emulators and simulators
- Write, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios
- Identify, document, and report defects with clear steps to reproduce
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing
- Test API responses, validations, and edge cases
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases
