MIXER DRIVERS

️ 1. Transporting Ready-Mix Concrete

• Drive the mixer truck safely from the batching plant to construction sites
• Ensure timely delivery to prevent concrete from setting prematurely
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules

⚙️ 2. Operating the Mixer Drum

• Operate and control the rotating drum to keep concrete mixed during transit
• Adjust drum speed based on load and road conditions
• Ensure proper discharge of concrete at the site

3. Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tires, drum, hydraulics)
• Check water levels and mixing system
• Report defects or mechanical issues immediately

4. Loading & Unloading Coordination

• Position the truck correctly for safe pouring of concrete
• Work with site engineers or workers during unloading
• Ensure proper handling to avoid spillage or wastage

5. Documentation

• Maintain delivery notes, batch details, and trip logs
• Collect signatures from site supervisors after delivery
• Record timing to ensure compliance with concrete setting limits

️ 6. Safety Compliance

• Follow road safety and construction site safety rules
• Use PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes) when required
• Be cautious while operating in tight or busy construction zones

7. Site Awareness

• Understand basic construction site signals and instructions
• Adapt driving and positioning in uneven or rough terrains
• Ensure safe maneuvering in confined spaces

8. Cleaning & Maintenance of Drum

• Wash the mixer drum after deliveries to prevent concrete buildup
• Dispose of leftover material properly
• Keep the truck clean and functional
