WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) currently has an exciting opportunity available for the role of Migration Break/Fix Specialist – OpenShift / Kubernetes. Role: Migration Break/Fix Specialist – OpenShift, Jenkins, Tekton, CI/CD Pipelines

Location: India (Remote with limited onsite in Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore as required)

Duration: 6+ Months with a high possibility of extensions

Experience: 7–9 years

Mandatory (Non-Negotiable) Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift
  • Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in production support / break-fix environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in:
  • Storage issues
  • File system permissions
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins & Tekton)

Key Responsibilities

Platform Support & Operations

  • Provide L2/L3 support for OpenShift clusters in production environments
  • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and platform issues
  • Perform log analysis to identify root causes and resolve incidents
  • Handle storage-related issues, including volume mounts and persistence
  • Manage Linux-level troubleshooting, especially file permissions and access issues
  • Support cluster densification initiatives (scaling up to 1000 pods per node)

CI/CD & Pipeline Support

  • Support and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using:
  • Jenkins
  • Tekton
  • Harness
  • Understand and debug pipeline failures and deployment issues
  • Assist application teams in resolving build and deployment blockers
  • Ensure smooth integration between pipelines and OpenShift deployments

Migration Support

  • Execute migration activities for applications moving to OpenShift
  • Work with existing runbooks and migration checklists
  • Support different migration strategies:
  • Live traffic migration
  • Downtime-based cutovers
  • Assist in migrating both:
  • Stateful applications (70%)
  • Stateless applications (30%)
  • Collaborate with application teams during migration execution
