Middleware Admin

We are seeking an experienced Middleware Admin with a strong focus on IBM MQ Series to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• IBM MQ Installation & Configuration: Install and configure IBM MQ Series on various environments, including Windows and Linux, specifically versions 9.1 and 8.5.
• Upgrades & Migrations: Lead and execute upgrade and migration projects for IBM MQ, such as from version 6 to 8, and 7.1.0.12 to 9.1.0.0.
• Queue Manager Management: Hands-on experience in creating and configuring both Local Queue Managers and Remote Queue Managers.
• Distributed & Clustered Communication: Implement Distribution Communication and Clustering Communication across different platforms to ensure message delivery and workload balancing.
• Client/Server Architecture: Configure and implement Client/Server Architecture for MQ connectivity.
• Monitoring & Management: Configure and monitor essential MQ components, including Listeners, Command Servers, Channel Initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files, and Dead Letter Queues.
• Authentication & Security: Possess a good understanding of MQ Authentication Concepts like ACL and OAM.
• Backup & Recovery: Have experience in performing Backup and Recovery of MQ Objects to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities.
• SSL Implementation: Experience in performing and configuring SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) for MQ communication.
• Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing: Conduct IBM MQ Series related troubleshooting and bug fixing to resolve issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• IBM MQ Experience: 4+ years of experience with IBM MQ.
• Installation & Configuration: Proven experience installing and configuring IBM MQ Series on Windows and Linux (versions 9.1 and 8.5).
• Upgrades & Migrations: Hands-on experience with IBM MQ upgrades and migrations (e.g., 6 to 8, 7.1.0.12 to 9.1.0.0).
• Queue Management: Experience with Local and Remote Queue Managers.
• Communication: Expertise in Distribution Communication and Clustering Communication.
• Architecture: Experience with Client/Server Architecture.
• Monitoring Components: Familiarity with configuring and monitoring MQ Listeners, Command Servers, Channel Initiators, Trigger Monitors, MQ Log files, and Dead Letter Queues.
• Security: Good understanding of MQ Authentication Concepts (ACL, OAM) and experience with SSL.
• Backup & Recovery: Experience performing backup and recovery of MQ objects.
• Clusters: Experience with Clusters Workload balancing.
• Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and bug-fixing skills for IBM MQ Series.
