About the Role

As a System Administrator, you will be working closely with the rest of IT Operations to support our trading team in a highly available, dynamic environment. You'll work on optimising and standardizing our company infrastructure with the flexibility to be creative in your solution designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and maintain our hybrid Microsoft infrastructure that incorporates best practices, business continuity, high availability, and scalability
  • Foresee and prevent issues before they arise and implement permanent fixes when problems do occur
  • Automate, standardise and document IT processes to optimise work structures
  • Provide L1 support for internal teams on hardware and software implementation and issues, including onboarding new colleagues in our Mumbai office
  • Perform periodic audits of the environment, enforcing security and industry standards
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors involved in the delivery of IT solutions
  • Perform remote troubleshooting to diagnose production issues
  • Monitor system performance and capacity, and manage the hardware and software life cycle

Requirements:

  • Being reliable, accountable, and able to react quickly when challenges arise
  • Experience working in Microsoft systems, i.e., Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra and on-premise AD
  • Windows desktop and server configuration management skills
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, ICT or a related field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects that span multiple teams to successful completion
  • PowerShell scripting experience, familiarity with IaC practices
  • Experience working with other automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization and cybersecurity concepts and technologies
  • Experience with Linux administration is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
