Microsoft Fabric Engineer
Role Summary
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable enterprise-grade data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. This role will focus on implementing Lakehouse architectures, unified analytics, and modern data engineering pipelines within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem to enable governed, high-quality, and analytics-ready data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse architecture using Medallion (BronzeSilverGold) data modeling patterns.
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines and Dataflow Gen2.
- Develop scalable ELT/ETL workflows within Microsoft Fabric to ingest and transform data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Architect and implement unified data platforms using Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, and OneLake.
- Integrate multiple data sources (finance, operations, HR, and other enterprise systems) into curated and analytics-ready layers.
- Design and manage Power BI Semantic Models connected to Fabric Lakehouse and Fabric Warehouse.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and automated alerting mechanisms.
- Establish data governance, security, and compliance using RBAC, sensitivity labels, and data protection features within Fabric.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git for Fabric artifacts and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analytics teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Fabric Lakehouse
- Fabric Warehouse
- OneLake
- Data Pipelines
- Dataflow Gen2
- Experience building modern data platforms using Lakehouse architecture.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data transformation and processing.
- Experience building Power BI Semantic Models and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Experience implementing Medallion architecture (BronzeSilverGold).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise data management practices.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience integrating Microsoft Fabric with Azure services.
- Exposure to automation tools such as PowerApps and Power Automate.
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated data environments.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
