Your Job

As a Metrology Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring dimensional quality and compliance throughout the product development lifecycle. You will drive decision-making in disposition activities, support advanced quality planning, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet or exceed customer and industry standards.

What You Will Do

  • Create 3D comparison models by correlating CT scan data with CAD geometry for dimensional evaluation.
  • Perform CT-based metrology inspections, including conversion of scan data into appropriate formats for dimensional analysis.
  • Analyse dimensional results and provide clear, actionable feedback to product development teams.
  • Develop visual reports and data presentations that effectively communicate dimensional variations and risks.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming metrology requests to meet internal customer timelines and expectations.
  • Review engineering drawings to determine the most effective measurement methods, and provide technical feedback to engineering teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional review discussions with engineering and quality to align on results and corrective actions.
  • Support and comply with Molex Quality Management System, Six Sigma practices, ISO standards, and EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Use strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to resolve conflicts, build consensus, and maintain team cohesion during challenging decisions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • 5-8 years of experience in dimensional inspection or standards room
  • Experience with Volume Graphics software, including programming or advanced analysis capabilities, is highly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience using Geomagic Control for dimensional inspection and analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CMM programming and coordinate measurement techniques.
  • Practical experience working with 3D STL files for inspection, analysis, and comparison purposes.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Advanced knowledge of Six Sigma tools, FMEA, SPC, MSA and GD&T.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T application per ASME Y14.5‑2009 and solid understanding of core metrology principles.
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts applied to quality and dimensional analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical connector functionality, with familiarity in 2D and 3D tolerance analysis and plastic manufacturing processes.
