Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled consultant to design and implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and industrial automation solutions. This role is pivotal in aligning technology with manufacturing processes, business goals, and IT strategies, driving digital transformation across the production ecosystem.
Job Description
- Develop functional specifications, solution blueprints, and architectural diagrams for MES implementation and OT-IT integration
- Define integration strategies between MES platforms (preferably Ignition Sepasoft), OT systems (PLCs, SCADA, Historian), and enterprise systems like SAP (ECC/S4HANA)
- Translate complex manufacturing requirements into actionable functional designs
- Collaborate with OT teams, production stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to define system interfaces and data exchange mechanisms
- Define data models and governance strategies across OT, MES, and IT layers
- Evaluate MES and automation technologies for feasibility, scalability, and alignment with IT architecture
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to test strategy development and ensure solution quality
- Support MES implementation and rollout activities
- Stay updated on trends in MES, OT-IT integration, and digital manufacturing
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field)
- 26 years of experience in functional architecture roles within manufacturing environment
- Deep understanding of MES functionalities: production management, quality, inventory tracking, work order management, data collection, reporting, and OEE
- Proven experience with MES platforms, preferably Inductive Automation Ignition and Sepasoft module
- Strong knowledge of OT systems and industrial protocols (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, Historian, OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP)
- Experience integrating MES with SAP ECC or S/4HANA for manufacturing processes
- Expertise in data modeling, integration principles, and governance in manufacturin
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional team
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISA-95) and cloud-based industrial IoT platforms is a plus.
