Role Overview:
We are seeking a MERN Stack Developer who can own the product stack, convert complex requirements into elegant technical solutions, and lead by example in engineering best practices. This is not just a coding role you will play a strategic part in architecture, performance, planning, and process improvement across modules, particularly in ERP-based platforms.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of robust, scalable web applications using the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
- Architect and optimise backend services, microservices, and database schemas for performance and reliability.
- Guide and mentor junior developers with code reviews, sprint planning, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product managers and non-tech stakeholders to translate business problems into tech solutions.
- Establish and enforce development standards, Git branching strategies, and scalable component structures.
- Work on integrations with ERP, CRM, or third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, logistics, after-sales support).
- Monitor and continuously improve system performance, security, and API response times.
- Participate in grooming sessions, architectural decisions, and deployment pipelines.
Required Skills:
- React.js (Advanced): Hooks, Context, Component Optimization, Testing, SSR (preferred).
- Node.js + Express.js: REST API design, middleware, authentication, and error handling.
- MongoDB: Aggregation pipelines, indexing, relationships, and performance tuning
- Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows, CI/CD integration.
- System Design: Ability to plan scalable architectures and database schemas.
- Leadership: Mentoring, task delegation, and sprint planning.
- Communication: Can explain tech to non-tech. Capable of handling product demos or client discussions.
- Excellent in Debugging and Backtracking: Can quickly trace bugs across stack layers and resolve issues efficiently.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory):
- Experience in ERP, Sales, Inventory, or After-Sales modules.
- Knowledge of Docker, AWS, NGINX, or DevOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with Redux, Zustand, React Query, or Tailwind CSS.
- Exposure to Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Notion.
