Job Title: MERN Stack Developer (3+ Years Experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on MERN Stack Developer with around 3 years of experience to build scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with product, AI, and data teams to develop real-time features, APIs, and data-driven workflows critical to financial due diligence. This role demands strong backend fundamentals, experience with WebSockets, and a solid understanding of both NoSQL and relational databases.
Key Responsibilities
Backend & API Development
- Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Build real-time features using WebSockets (live updates, notifications, collaboration)
- Ensure APIs meet performance, reliability, and security best practices
Frontend Development
- Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js
- Collaborate with UX/product teams to translate requirements into clean UI components
- Optimize frontend performance for large datasets and real-time interactions
Database & Data Handling
- Design and manage data models using:
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL)
- Write optimized queries and ensure data consistency, indexing, and scalability
- Handle transactional and analytical data use cases effectively
System Design & Collaboration
- Participate in system design discussions and technical decision-making
- Write clean, modular, and testable code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, product, and DevOps
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- 3 years of experience in MERN Stack development
- Strong proficiency in:
- Node.js & Express.js
- React.js
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with WebSockets (Socket.io or similar)
- Experience building secure APIs (JWT, OAuth, encryption, rate limiting)
- Strong understanding of:
- MongoDB (schema design, indexing)
- Relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL, joins, transactions)
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and code reviews
Engineering Fundamentals
- Good understanding of:
- API performance optimization
- Asynchronous programming
- Error handling and logging
- Security best practices (OWASP basics)
Good to Have (Nice-to-Have Skills)
- Experience with AWS cloud services, especially:
- EC2
- ECS
- EKS
- Exposure to Docker & containerized deployments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of system scalability, caching (Redis), and message queues
- Prior experience in FinTech / SaaS / Data-heavy platforms
