Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
MERN Stack Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in JavaScript and TypeScript, deep backend experience with Node.js, solid database knowledge (especially PostgreSQL), and excellent command over Git-based version control workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
- Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable frontend components using React.js
- Implement business logic using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, performance tuning)
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features
- Write unit tests, debug issues, and optimize existing code
- Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices
- Maintain proper documentation for code and APIs
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience as a MERN Stack / Full Stack Developer
- Strong fundamentals of JavaScript - Closures, Hoisting, Event Loop, Promises, Async/Await
- Advanced JavaScript concepts - Design patterns, performance optimization, memory management
- TypeScript - Types, interfaces, generics, strict typing in real-world projects
- Node.js - Building scalable APIs, middleware, authentication, error handling
- React.js - Hooks, state management, component lifecycle, reusable components
- PostgreSQL - Database design, joins, indexing, query optimization
- Git (Very Strong Required) Branching strategies (Git Flow), pull requests, conflict resolution
- Experience working in collaborative Git-based environments (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services - EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, basic networking concepts
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines - GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Exposure to Docker or containerization
- Experience with system design and scalability considerations
- Knowledge of basic security best practices (JWT, OAuth, OWASP concepts)
