Role Summary
As a MERN Stack Architect, you'll own complete application architecture from database design to production deployment. You'll define microservices boundaries, implement scalable Node.js APIs, build performant React SPAs, containerize with Docker/Kubernetes, and establish CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms while driving design systems and API security.
Design & Architecture
- Own end-to-end architecture for full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js
- Define microservices architecture and API design (REST; GraphQL preferred)
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, secure solutions with high availability patterns
Frontend Development
- Develop React SPAs using Hooks, Context, React Router
- Implement state management with Redux/Redux Toolkit/Zustand/Recoil
- Drive component libraries using Storybook, Material UI, AntD, Tailwind
- Optimize for performance (lazy loading, code splitting) and accessibility (a11y)
Backend Development
- Build scalable APIs with Node.js and Express/Koa/NestJS
- Expert MongoDB schema design, indexing, replication, aggregation pipelines
- Implement authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, SSO)
- Integrate message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS), caching (Redis/Memcached)
DevOps & CI/CD
- Containerize applications using Docker; deploy to Kubernetes, EKS/AKS/GKE
- Implement CI/CD with GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins
- Set up monitoring & logging (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, Datadog)
