Location: Borivali, Mumbai
Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Merchandiser to manage product sourcing, vendor coordination, and order execution. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of fabrics/materials (preferred for home furnishing/textiles) and strong follow-up skills to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product development and production
- Manage end-to-end order execution from sampling to final delivery
- Follow up with vendors for timelines, quality checks, and dispatch schedules
- Source materials, fabrics, or products as per business requirements
- Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, and inventory
- Ensure product quality and compliance with specifications
- Work closely with internal teams (design, sales, operations)
- Track production status and update stakeholders regularly
- Negotiate with vendors for pricing, timelines, and quality standards
- Handle documentation related to orders, invoices, and shipments
What We're Looking For
- 25 years of experience as a Merchandiser (preferably in textiles, home furnishing, or related industry)
- Strong vendor management and coordination skills
- Good understanding of fabrics/materials and sourcing processes
- Excellent follow-up and time management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Good to Have
- Experience in bed linen, home dcor, or garment industry
- Knowledge of production cycles and quality standards
- Exposure to working with multiple vendors or factories
