A fast-growing player in the Apparel & Fashion Manufacturing and Retail supplychain sector seeking operational merchandising support for seasonal collections, vendor coordination, and production delivery. This on-site role focuses on end-to-end apparel merchandising operations across sourcing, costing, and order execution for Indian manufacturing and retail channels.
Primary Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser - Apparel
Role & Responsibilities
- Support assortment and range planning for seasonal collections, preparing line sheets and size/colour allocations to meet commercial targets.
- Create and maintain accurate tech packs, specs, and sample trackers; coordinate fit sessions and sample approvals with design and QA teams.
- Manage purchase order lifecycleraise POs, track confirmations, monitor production milestones, and ensure ontime shipment readiness.
- Prepare garment costings and margin analyses; suggest costefficient material or construction alternatives without compromising quality.
- Liaise with vendors and factories for order execution, production followups, and resolution of quality or delivery issues.
- Maintain merchandising data in PLM/ERP and generate status reports for buying and planning teams.
