merchandiser ensures products are available and visually appealing to maximize sales. They manage inventory levels, execute planograms, negotiate with suppliers, and analyze market trends to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track warehouse deliveries, and ensure shelves are adequately stocked to prevent shortages.Visual Display & Layouts: Plan and execute appealing product layouts, end-cap displays, and promotional setups.Trend Analysis: Review customer feedback, sales predictions, and competitor pricing to forecast seasonal demand.Supplier Coordination: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with vendors and distributors to maximize profit margins.Quality Assurance: Remove damaged, expired, or misplaced items from the sales floor and manage product returns.Essential Skills & QualificationsAnalytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and sales trends to make data-driven inventory decisions.Communication: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, store managers, and marketing teams.Physical Stamina: For in-store or field roles, the ability to lift heavy boxes, stand for long hours, and regularly visit multiple store locations.Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in business, retail management, fashion, or marketing is often preferred, alongside previous experience in retail or inventory control.
