Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the MEP industry and possess strong drafting skills using AutoCAD or similar software. As an MEP Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing support systems in buildings and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed MEP & HVAC Modular Support drawings based on project specifications, sketches, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings.
- Review and modify drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare material take-offs and assist in quantity estimation for Modular Support components.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural) from client side to integrate modular support systems into overall project design.
- Maintain drawing files and documentation for future reference and revisions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in MEP drafting.
Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEP drafting or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor or similar drafting software.
- Knowledge of MEP systems, Support Systems, building codes, and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Education
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering or ITI / NCTVT Mechanical Draftsman
Revit or 3D modelling software certification will be added advantage.
