About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Memory Design Engineer to join our Memory IP group in Bangalore. In this role, you'll design, simulate, and verify custom memory blocks like decoders, sense amplifiers, and write drivers, contributing to high-quality, efficient designs for cutting-edge technology nodes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop CMOS memories (SP SRAM, DP SRAM, Register Files, ROM)
  • Perform circuit design, simulation, and margin characterization for custom circuits
  • Conduct functional simulations and statistical analysis
  • Verify bit cells and physical layouts
  • Sign off and release memory IPs for IP validation test chips
  • Support silicon bring-up and characterization
  • Participate in design and layout reviews
  • Collaborate closely with internal design and layout teams to solve complex problems

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering (VLSI, Microelectronics, or related fields) with 4+ years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years or Master's degree with 8+ years in Semiconductors/VLSI/Microelectronics
  • Proficiency in EDA tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys) and simulation tools (Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE)
  • Experience in SRAM memory design and timing characterization
  • Understanding of analog mixed-signal design concepts, reliability, and statistical circuit analysis
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of advanced technology nodes (45/32/28/14nm and below)
  • Hands-on experience with Bulk, CMOS, and SOI processes
  • Programming skills for design flow automation
  • Proven ability to innovate and solve complex design problems
