The Role
You will be the architect of productivity for every engineer at Everpure, building the Gold Standard platform that takes developers from zero to their first code commit in record time. Sitting at the intersection of Platform Engineering and Tooling, you will eliminate the snowflake environments and friction points that slow down innovation.
This is a high-leverage opportunity to build a seamless and automated ecosystem where your colleagues are your customers, and your impact is measured in reclaimed engineering years.
What You'll Do
- Architect/Develop Reproducible Environments: Own the evolution of our self onboarding platform for developers m. You will shift our systems from manual setups to idempotent, automated for new developers and VMs that work identically on a local laptop or in a CI pipeline.
- Eliminate Developer Friction: Design, build, and ship a suite of CLI tools, IDE integrations (currently VS Code), and debugging workflows that automate the boring stuff. Your work will allow engineers to focus purely on writing world-class storage code.
- Scale the Developer Platform: Transition localized, fragmented tooling into a unified, general-purpose Developer Experience Platform used across all product lines, ensuring a consistent and fun workflow regardless of the repository.
- Drive Onboarding Excellence: Partner directly with engineering teams to identify bottlenecked workflows. You will use developer empathy to reduce environment-related failures and drastically slash the time it takes for new hires to become active contributors.
What You Bring
- Engineering Craftsmanship: Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Python or Go. You possess a deep understanding of Linux,Mac and Windows development environments, as well as Git-based workflows.
- Systems Thinking: A proven track record of building internal platforms, developer tools, or automated infrastructure. You have specific, hands-on expertise with containers, VM-based environments, and toolchain management.
- Developer Empathy: A genuine passion for solving the practical, day-to-day problems of other engineers. You prefer high-leverage impact over surface-level visibility and enjoy working cross-functionally to drive tool adoption.
Problem-Solving Rigor: Exceptional debugging skills and the ability to simplify complex, fragmented workflows into reliable, highly scalable automated processes.
