Andromeda Security: MTS/Distributed Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We're looking for dreamers, coders, and hackers who want to explore the frontiers of cloud security! Join us in building the next-generation cloud security platform from the ground up. In this role, you'll lead the design and development of scalable distributed systems that handle massive data volumes across cloud environments, serving millions of users.

Tech Stack:

• Programming languages - Golang, Python
• API/Platform - GraphQL, GRPC, and Open API
• Analytics - numpy, pytorch, Tensorflow, and BigQuery
• Query languages, SQL, OpenCypher
• Analytics platform - ElasticSearch, Graph DBs (AWS Neptune, Neo4j).
• Event processing - Kafka

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of industry experience in software development,
• Experience leading projects from design and architecture front,
• Expert knowledge of one of the programming languages C++, Java or Golang,
• Experience building multi-threaded, fault-tolerant scalable systems,
• Proficiency in database, operating systems, distributed systems,
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field,

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Graph Databases like neo4j, AWS Neptune.
• Experience implementing core data structures such as b-trees, graph walks, etc.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Understanding of cloud computing architectures in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with any of the data analytics platforms:
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift

They have a proven track record of creating disruptive technologies in Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, and Security. They have had leadership positions in companies such as VMware, Cisco, and Adobe, as well as startups. They are alumni of prestigious institutions like IIT, BITS Pilani, Stanford, Berkeley, Arizona State University, and UT Austin. Their new venture aims at simplifying cloud security with a focus on zero trust for securing identities and their entitlements using AI/ML.

Founders:

Murali Basavaiah, CEO: Murali is an entrepreneur & senior executive with 25+ years of experience in Distributed Systems, Infrastructure, and Security.Murali was co-founder of Avi Networks (acquired by VMware). Post-acquisition, he drove the Avi business and grew the revenue by 3x with 1000 customers.

Ashish Shah, Chief Product Officer: Ashish has over 20 years of experience in product management, GTM, and software engineering across startups and large enterprises. He led product management, customer engagement, and business operations at Avi and VMware, and helped grow Avi's business from 0 to over $100M.

Gaurav Rastogi, CTO & VP of Eng.: Gaurav has 20+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking and video streaming. He was one of the founding engineers at Avi, where he led vision and technology for real-time analytics, automation, and web application security.

Ramkumar Sankar, Managing Director, India office: Ramkumar co-built the Avi Networks India organization and grew it to 150+ employees.. Prior to that he built and led large engineering teams at Cisco Systems and Nokia Networks.
