Experience - Min. 6 + yrs. in steel iron and foundry manufacturing industry

Job Description

Oversee the melting of ferrous (iron, steel) or non-ferrous (aluminum, brass, bronze) metals.

Ensure proper furnace operation, temperature control, and metal pouring procedures.

Maintain consistency in metal composition and quality. Operate and maintain induction, electric arc, cupola, or crucible furnaces.

Monitor refractory linings and ensure timely repairs.

Optimize furnace energy consumption and efficiency. Manage the selection of raw materials, scrap, and alloying elements.

Conduct chemical and physical tests (spectroscopy, hardness, tensile tests, etc.).

Implement corrective actions for metallurgical defects such as porosity, shrinkage, and inclusions. Improve melting efficiency to reduce energy consumption and material waste.

Develop and refine metal compositions for improved mechanical properties.

Implement digital monitoring and automation for process optimization.
