Medical Imaging Intern Mammogram Annotation

Company: PULSE HITECH HEALTH SERVICES PVT LTD

Employment Type: Full-time Internship

Duration: 2 months

Stipend: 5,000 8,000/month (based on educational background & performance)

Working Days: 6 days/week (Sunday off)

About Us

We're a healthcare AI team working on medical imaging analysis to support breast abnormality detection. You'll get hands-on experience labeling medical images, learning segmentation principles, and collaborating with an AI engineer and radiology reviewer.

About the Role

As a Medical Imaging Intern, you'll work directly with our AI engineering team and radiologist reviewers to create high-quality, pixel-level annotations of breast abnormalities.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in medical AI and contribute to meaningful healthcare innovation.

What You'll Do

Perform pixel-level segmentation of masses, calcifications, and other abnormalities on mammogram images using professional annotation software.

Follow standardized labeling protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Flag ambiguous or challenging cases for radiologist review with concise notes.

Deliver annotated masks in the required format (PNG) and maintain quality standards

Complete mandatory data privacy and confidentiality training in week 1

Who Should Apply

Educational Background (Current Students or Recent Graduates):

Medical/Paramedical: BMLT, Radiography

Life Sciences: B.Sc. in Anatomy, Physiology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry

Engineering: B.Tech/BE in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, IT

General Sciences: B.Sc/M.Sc in any discipline with strong interest in healthcare AI

Keen eye for detail.

Comfortable using web tools and learning annotation software.

Prior annotation experience or some exposure to medical imaging is a plus, but not mandatory.

Required Attributes:

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to work independently on repetitive but critical tasks

Comfortable learning new software tools quickly

Strong work ethic and reliability

Must be available for full 2 months with 6-day work weeks

Training & Mentorship

Week 1: Comprehensive paid training covering:

Mammogram anatomy

Annotation tool training

Quality standards and common pitfalls

Medical data privacy and ethics protocols

Ongoing support: Direct mentorship from AI engineers and regular radiologist-reviewed feedback

Legal & Compliance Requirements

Mandatory for all selected candidates:

Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting

Complete data privacy and confidentiality training (HIPAA-equivalent standards)

Adhere to strict data security protocols no unauthorized sharing or external device usage
