What You Can Expect

Understand and internalize the business strategies of the SBU assigned to the individual and create a training calendar that will support the SBU's and company's strategic goals. He/she will be responsible for the design, facilitation and the implementation of medical education for orthopaedic professionals in India for the category assigned to him/her. The individual will spend time in the field interacting with key HCP consultants and younger HCPs to identify potential future trainers. In addition, the individual will be responsible to conduct the activities assigned within given budgets.

How You'll Create Impact

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define assigned business units individual strategic directions that require specific courses, to discuss expected specific customer educational needs that need to be planned and budgeted for and ensure that budget costings are accurate and correct.
  • Work on an Annual Needs Assessment plan, course calendar for the SBU assigned
  • Staying current with relevant or equivalent products and competitor activities to ensure cost effective utilization of the Zimmer Biomet's funds.
  • Formally evaluate the effectiveness of course formats and materials with training outcomes at the state and country level to better manage funding and courses
  • Meet regularly with internal and external stakeholders to determine required and appropriate education for safe and effective use of Zimmer Biomet products in the market.
  • Develop robust and comprehensive course agendas with relevant faculty
  • Ensure proper planning has been done including all internal approval processes acquired for all medical education activities assigned
  • Travel to Medical Education events to support execution, evaluate faculty speakers and provide written and verbal feedback internally and externally i.e. to the speakers Demonstrate a strong and consistent willingness to focus on the customer service and support of HCP consultants and customers.
  • Monitor and manage vendor provisions for cost control and efficiencies (in conjunction with Medical Education coordinators) i.e. external event management suppliers, hospitality entities, audio-visual and logistics vendors.
  • Ensure programs are a mix of virtual, face to face and hybrid programs to ensure HCP training needs are met.
  • Ensure Compliance, legal and regulatory standards are met

Eye for Detail: Should be able to independently handle a programme right from conceptualisation to completion. Planning each aspect, contingency planning, completion of all statutory requirements and documentation in a correct and timely manner

High Level of Integrity: Should be compliant and demonstrate integrity to handle the role assigned and focus on medical education needs of the HCPs without being influenced by business considerations

Your Background

  • Tertiary education with at least 5 years of relevant experiences in events organization and administration preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of general principles and standard practices of medical education planning and administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage various types of educational events and modality.
