Overview

This role is to support the review of DOT and company policy for completeness and compliance to applicable DOT agency or company statement of work

  • To determine an individual's ability to work based upon those regulations under the guidance of the Director of Medical Services, Chief Medical Office, or designated Medical review office
  • Responsible for interviews for all non-DOT donors for all non-negative test results pre protocol
  • Processes paperwork for invalid test results and test cancellations

Responsibilities

  • Review and report examinations
  • Obtain information from the employee or examiner if needed to make a medical qualification determination
  • Educate deficient examiners by sending memorandums of correction for flawed examinations
  • Act as an agent of the Director of Medical Services or Chief Medical Office, informing client representatives of their employees qualification determinations
  • Obtain the required paperwork and prepare the forms required to review non-negative drug screen results
  • Call donors and perform the templated interview for non-DOT donors who are positive for the evidence of Marijuana and Cocaine
  • Report drug screen results to employers following the client specific reporting requirements
  • Interview all non-DOT donors for all non-negative test results pre protocol;
  • Process invalid test results and test cancellations

: Proven track record of coaching and mentoring employees to success

  • Is accountable for contributions for project team or sub team.
  • May lead project sub team.
  • This may include responsibility for training staff. Strategic Planning:
  • Identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations.
  • Analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
  • Responds to non-standard requests from internal and/or external customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed.
  • Makes decisions within guidelines and policies that impact own priorities and allocation of time to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Registered Nurse license required; 4 years experience in functional area

Knowledge & Skill:

  • Has knowledge of technical discipline and work processes.
  • Provides investigative, analytic or diagnostic services that affect a wide range of the unit's activities and suggests improvements.
  • Has good understanding of roles of the relevant functional groups within own area.
  • Requires extensive training and experience to resolve a wide range of issues.
