We are looking for a Billing & Denials Specialist to support our medical billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations. This role will focus on claim submission, denial resolution, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement from insurance payers.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing tasks across the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process
- Prepare and submit professional claims using the CMS-1500 claim form
- Review and resolve claim rejections, denials, and payer edits
- Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs)
- Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals
- Follow up with insurance payers on aged claims and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Monitor claim status through clearinghouses and payer portals
- Ensure compliance with timely filing limits and payer guidelines
- Maintain accurate billing documentation and claim tracking
Requirements
- 23 years of experience in Medical Billing or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
- Experience working with US healthcare medical billing and insurance claims
- Strong knowledge of CMS-1500 claim form processing
- Understanding of CPT codes, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and modifiers
- Experience reviewing EOBs/ERAs and reconciling payments
- Familiarity with clearinghouses and insurance payer portals
- Experience with denial management is a strong plus
- Experience with behavioral health billing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
