Role Overview
Responsible for end-to-end sourcing of mechanical components including supplier identification, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalization. Ensures timely procurement aligned with cost, quality, and delivery targets while collaborating closely with engineering and cross-functional teams. Drives supplier development, localization, and cost optimization initiatives

- Execute APQP and PPAP with vendor
- Achieve year-on-year cost reduction targets through strategic negotiations, localization, and value engineering
- Ensure all sourced components meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards (BIS, IEC, UL, ISO).
- Work with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure mechanical sourcing aligns with plant and product requirements
- Implement cost reduction through Value Engineering and Value Analysis
- Benchmark industrial best practices and implement
- Procurement Risk mitigation
Key Requirements
- Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech Mechanical
- Desired Experience in Automotive product / part procurement in EV manufacturing or Switch gear or electrical industry is preferred
- Experience: 1015 years in a Multinational Product Mfg. company
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, Stamping, welding, coatings, assembly processes and injection molding; understanding of BESS mechanical designs and standards
- Hands on experience in developing a part
- Cost Benchmarking, Should costing & ZBC
- Supplier performance analysis
