Job Context: Company is looking to hire Mechanical Engineers Design and Maintenance for its plant in Daman. The position will report to the Maintenance Manager. The machines facilities at the plant include calendering units, sheet extrusion units, profile extruders, vacuum/thermoforming machines and injection mould machines.
Job Description
Design:
- Conduct technical research, use software to plan and design product tools
- Develop prototypes and test equipment in controlled environments to improve design
- Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
- Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
- Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
- Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
Maintenance
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment
- Obtaining components, fixtures and fittings as needed for the equipment
- Ensuring that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
- conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits
- Establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols
- Training staff on equipment operating and maintenance procedures
- Setting and tracking maintenance KPIs
Qualifications and skillsets
- B.E (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) from a reputed university
- 3 to 7 years experience in roles involving maintenance functions in a manufacturing unit
- Experience in plastics manufacturing industry is desired
- Skilled in software tools such as MS Office/CAD/Project Management
- An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
- Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
CTC Salary range: Rs. 6 to 9 lakhs per annum
