Job Description

Design and plan mechanical systems, which may include HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), as well as electrical and plumbing systems within buildings.
Compliance : Ensure that designs and installations comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Energy Efficiency : Focus on designing energy-efficient systems that minimize energy consumption, reduce operational costs, and promote sustainability.
Collaboration : Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into building designs.
System Sizing : Determine the appropriate size and capacity of HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, and plumbing components to meet the needs of the building.
Equipment Selection : Select and specify HVAC equipment, electrical components, lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, and other equipment required for a project.
Cost Estimation : Prepare cost estimates and budgets for MEP systems within construction projects, considering both materials and labor.
Construction Oversight : Monitor the installation and construction of MEP systems to ensure they are implemented correctly, safely, and according to design plans.
