Responsibilities (KRAs / Deliverables/job Expectations)
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical parts, assemblies and equipment using CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor). Designing electrical panels.
- Work from engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations as provided by the Design team. Translate concepts into production-ready drawings. Support prototype development.
- Revise and update existing drawings, incorporating engineering changes with design accuracy.
- Develop 3D models, create accurate BOMs for new products.
- Make ECNs, submit and track ECNs, and assist with all the required documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Engineers, Design team, project managers and manufacturing teams.
- Review and check drawings for completeness, accuracy, correct dimensions, material type, tolerances and related quality checks.
- Maintain and organize an archive of drawings, BOMs, ECNs and revision records in the SharePoint after thorough proof-reading. Ensure information in the Enterprise System and engineering data match.
Experience (exposure)
- 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in manufacturing, product engineering assignments.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor or both.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and technical specifications.
