Job Description
- Design & Modeling: Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop, build, and test prototypes to validate design functionality and performance.
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate structural and thermal integrity.
- Documentation: Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Collaboration: Work with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production (DFM), as well as with sourcing and quality teams.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues during the product development lifecycle and provide engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SolidWorks software
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanics, materials, manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal), and GD&T.
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Ability to work in cross-functional teams and present technical data to stakeholders
